CBD may help pets with the following conditions:
- Lack of appetite
- Lack of energy, lethargy
- Travel sickness
- Muscle spasms or seizures
- Arthritic pain
- Post-surgery recovery
- Fear of thunderstorms, fireworks or loud noises
General rule for CBD dosing for pets: 1-5 mg CBD for every 10 pounds of body weight, 1 to 2 times per day. For pain, every 8 hours. Allow 20 minutes for onset of effects.
Dosage suggestions are only a starting point and apply to pets in generally good health. To determine your pet’s ideal dose, you may need to experiment.
The right dose may vary at times, depending on your desired effect. If you are using CBD to calm your pet’s anxiety on the 4th of July, the situation may require a larger than average dosage.
Like humans, some animals will have more receptors than others, and this influence how much and how often CBD should be taken. We recommend that you start with the minimum dosage and wait at least for 20 minutes to see results. If there is no change after an hour, increase the dosage. Rest assured that there is no known toxicity associated with CBD.
For generally healthy pets, the suggested dosage is 1-5mg per 10lb body weight
